RM Transformers

RM cores were developed for use in very stable filter chokes with a high Q-factor. From these cores, also excellent chokes and transformers for all sorts of converters can be made. Their dimensions facilitate economical use of the PCB surface. The range is standardized in IEC 431, and is available from numerous suppliers world-wide. The dimensions are based on the standard PCB grid spacing. An RM5-core, for instance, fits on a board spacing of 5 x 5 modules of 2.5 mm grid. The matching bobbins and clamps have been optimalised for economical winding and assembly. The slots in the bobbin leave enough space for thicker wire ends. The magnetic shielding value is lower than that of pot cores, yet still effective. 

The RM series ranges from RM4 to RM14.
