Video picture, sound and power supply by 1 low-cost 100 Ohm UTP cable?
Solution: the ISE VIDEO-ADAPTER, TYPE 8001.
The ISE video adapter connects camera and monitor by means of a low cost 100 Ohm UTP cable over a distance of more than 500 meters. The cable length for video-signal transmission of color pictures is up to 300 meters, for black-and-white pictures 500 meters (depending on the quality of the configuration used). With 1 pair of adapters, a PAL video signal, low voltage power supply, and an optional audio signal can be processed. The adapter provides for galvanic isolation between camera and monitor.
Inside building complexes, (possibly un-used) UTP cables can be utilized to create a video surveillance system using a camera. In general, UTP cables are cheaper and more commonly used than coax cables. Furthermore, the ISE video adapter 8001 eliminates possible interferences caused by ground loops that may affect the video picture.
