Magnetic Shielding
A magnetic shield is a metal case which serves the purpose of protecting sensitive equipment against magnetic fields; the thickness of the material is proportional to the energy of the field. For low-frequency fields, generally, highly permeable mu-metal (80% nickel) is used. By and large, especially equipment in the vicinity of power lines and transformer buildings is affected by magnetic radiation. ISE has specific testing equipment and software on hand to help find the optimal enclosure shape and shielding value.
